Replacing the top lid hinge on an LG washer is not a hard task. Follow these easy instructions to quickly repair your washing machine.
Tools and Materials Needed
-Measuring Tape
-Phillips Screwdriver
-New MEF62462103 LG Washer Top Lid Hinge
Instructions
1. Unplug the power cord from the power socket and shut off the water supply to the washer.
2. Open the lid of the washer and locate the top lid hinge. It lies at the back of the lid, near the hinge mounting bracket.
3. Use a measuring tape to measure the size of the hinge. Note it down to ensure that you purchase the right replacement.
4. Remove the screws holding the top lid hinge in place with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull out the old hinge.
5. Place the new MEF62462103 LG Washer Top Lid Hinge into position. Secure it in place with the screws.
6. Check that the hinge is properly installed.
7. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the water supply to the washer.
8. Test the lid to make sure it opens and closes properly.
