If your Speed Queen clothes dryer is taking too long to dry your clothes, it is likely that the felt seal around the drum may needs replacing. A faulty drum seal can lead to poor air flow and inadequate drying. This guide will walk you through how you can replace the D510207P Speed Queen Dryer Drum Felt Seal.

Tools & Materials Needed:
– Phillips head screwdriver
– T20 Torx driver
– Replacement felt seal (D510207P)
– Safety goggles
– Work gloves

Step 1: Unplug the dryer and move it away from the wall to gain access to the back.

Step 2: Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the back panel and remove it.

Step 3: Remove the two screws on either side of the access panel at the front of the dryer. Then, prise off the access panel to expose the drum.

Step 4: Put on the safety goggles and work gloves for safety. Use the T20 Torx driver to remove the four screws around the outer edge of the drum.

Step 5: Carefully slide out the old felt seal and discard it.

Step 6: Slide the new felt seal (D510207P) into place around the drum and make sure it is firmly fitted.

Step 7: Use the T20 Torx driver to re-fix the four screws on the outer edge of the drum.

Step 8: Re-fix the access panel with the two screws at the front and the back panel with the Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 9: Place the dryer back against the wall and plug it in.
