Drum support roller kit works with some Speed Queen, and Amana models of clothes dryers. Step 1: Unplug the Speed Queen Dryer from its power source and move it to an area that allows you to easily access the back panel.
Step 2: Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the back panel to the dryer’s frame. Once the screws are removed, pull the panel off of the dryer.
Step 3: Locate the old drum support roller kit, which is usually located at the bottom of the dryer’s drum.
Step 4: Disconnect the power connections for the motor and the drum support roller.
Step 5: Using a socket wrench, remove the bolts securing the support roller to the frame of the dryer.
Step 6: Remove the old drum support roller kit and install the new one. Make sure the kit is installed properly, with the axle in the middle of the roller.
Step 7: Secure the new drum support roller kit in place by tightening the bolts with a socket wrench.
Step 8: Replace the power connections to the motor and the drum support roller.
Step 9: Replace the back panel on the dryer and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 10: Plug the Speed Queen Dryer back into its power source and test it out.
