2. Remove the top of the dryer by unscrewing the four mounting screws located on the back panel of the dryer.

3. Pull the front panel away from the drum and locate the heating element. This is usually located in the upper-right corner of the dryer.

4. Unplug the wiring harness from the heater element.

5. Remove the two screws holding the heating element in place.

6. Slide the old heating element out of the dryer’s cabinet.

7. Insert the replacement Speed Queen D518199 ASSY, HEATER-ORANGE 5350W into the dryer’s cabinet.

8. Secure the new heating element with the two retaining screws.

9. Reconnect the wiring harness to the new heater element.

10. Reverse the steps used for disassembly and reattach the top of the dryer.
