Begin by gathering the necessary tools and materials you will need to replace the Speed Queen 801434W SWITCH, PUSH-TO-START. These include a replacement switch, a Phillips head screwdriver, wire cutters, and needle-nose pliers.

2. Unplug the washing machine from its power source and turn off the water supply.

3. Remove the control panel of the washing machine to access the switch. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the fasteners holding the control panel in place.

4. Once the control panel is removed, identify the defective switch that needs to be replaced.

5. Cut any wires that are connected to the defective switch using the wire cutters.

6. Remove the defective switch by pulling it out of its socket with the needle-nose pliers.
