Begin by disconnecting power to the Speed Queen 36425 washing machine. This can be done from the main circuit breaker panel.
2. Unplug the machine and place a flat surface beneath the machine. You will need to flip the machine over in order to access the back end of it where the seal bell and transmission tube are located.
3. Place a towel on the floor beneath the machine as it will assist you in moving the appliance safely and prevent it from slipping.
4. Remove the screws that secure both the top and bottom panels and carefully remove the panels.
5. Disconnect the hoses from the seal bell and the transmission tube. Make sure to use a wrench and secure the hoses tightly so they don’t leak.
6. Remove the old seal bell and transmission tube, paying close attention to how the parts were situated in the machine. This will make it easier to install the new parts.
7. Replace the seal bell and transmission tube with the new parts. Make sure to tighten the screws and reconnect the hoses.
