1. Disconnect your GE dryer from the power source. Make sure to disconnect the power cord from the outlet and then unplug it from the wall.

2. Access the control panel by opening the dryer’s door and unscrewing the two screws near the top of the panel. Carefully pull out the control panel and set it aside.

3. Locate the user interface board on the dryer’s control panel. It should be located at the bottom of the panel, just above the display window.

4. Unplug the electrical connectors from the user interface board. Be sure not to force the wires out of the plug because you could cause damage.

5. Remove the screws that secure the board in place. You may need a Phillips-head screwdriver for this step, so have one handy.
