2. Remove the lint filter cover and then remove the lint filter.

3. Remove the four screws that hold the top panel in place and lift off the top panel gently.

4. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from both ends of the drum and then pull out the drum.

5. Remove the parts that make up the existing drum seal, such as the felt, adhesive and clips.

6. Clean up any dirt or debris from the edges of the frame and the area where the drum seal will be installed.

7. Place the new drum seal into place and secure it with adhesive and clips.

8. Reinstall the drum and reconnect the wiring harnesses.

9. Replace the lint filter and lint filter cover.

10. Put the top panel back in place and secure it with its fastening screws.

11. Plug the Whirlpool dryer back into its original wall outlet.

12. Run a few test cycles to ensure that the drum seal is properly installed.
