Propane gas conversion kit works with some Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and Roper models of clothes dryers. 1. Begin by unplugging the dryer from its power source and removing the lint screen.
2. Remove the back panel of the dryer to access the wiring for the heating element, thermostat, and igniter.
3. Locate the gas line connection, preferably near the upper left corner of the dryer.
4. Disconnect the gas line and remove the label attached to the gas valve.
5. Replace the existing gas line with the new flex line and secure it using a hose clamp.
6. Install the 49572A Whirlpool Dryer Propane Gas Conversion Kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Pay particular attention to ensuring that all fittings are properly secured and sealed.
7. Connect the flex line to the gas valve and ensure that it is tightly secured.
8. Reattach the label to the gas valve and replace the back panel of the dryer.
9. Plug the dryer back into its power source and test the new propane gas conversion kit on a low heat setting.
10. If everything is working properly, you have successfully replaced the 49572A Whirlpool Dryer Propane Gas Conversion Kit.
