1. Turn off the water supply to your refrigerator by turning off the valve located behind the fridge.
2. Unscrew the plastic cap from the filter housing, located at the top of your refrigerator. You may need to use some force to unscrew it.
3. Pull out the old filter by grasping it at its sides and pulling it straight out.
4. Take the new filter and make sure it has a snug fit in the filter housing. It should not require any additional force to install.
5. Once the new filter is installed, you can turn the water supply back on by turning the valve behind the refrigerator.
6. Replace the plastic cap and ensure that it’s tightly secured to the filter housing.
7. Reset the “filter change” reminder feature on your refrigerator to let you know when it’s time to replace the filter again.
8. Locate the reset button on your refrigerator and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for resetting the filter life reminder.
9. Flush the system for five minutes before using the ice or water dispenser.
10. Enjoy the improved quality of your refrigerated water with the new filter.
