Instructions

Step 1: Unplug your appliance from the wall outlet.
Use caution when unplugging because you may come into contact with live parts.

Step 2: Remove the cabinet from the appliance.
Refer to the owner’s manual for instructions on how to remove the cabinet.

Step 3: Locate and remove the Whirlpool 279366 P1-ELECTRODE.
The electrode should be located on the backside of the dryer or washing machine.

Step 4: Disconnect the wires leading to the electrode.
Carefully disconnect the wires from the electrode so that you don’t damage them.

Step 5: Install the new electrode.
Make sure you connect the wires to the same area on the new electrode as the old one.

Step 6: Reassemble the appliance.
Follow the instructions in the owner’s manual in order to put everything back together.

Step 7: Plug the appliance back in and test it out.
