1. Unplug and empty the washer. Make sure that the washer is completely dry.

2. Lift the washer lid to access the suspension plates on the back of the drum.

3. Locate the three broken friction pads that need to be replaced.

4. Remove the broken friction pads by using a flathead screwdriver to loosen the screws that are securing them.

5. Put on a pair of work gloves to protect your hands from sharp edges.

6. Take out the new friction pads and insert them in place of the old ones.

7. Secure the new friction pads with the screws.

8. Test the washer to ensure that the new pads are working correctly.

9. Re-plug the washer and fill it with clothes.

10. Run a test cycle to make sure the suspension plate friction pads are working properly.
