2. Remove the top cover of the dryer by lifting it up and pulling it back.<\/p>\n
3. Locate the heating element. It will be located near the bottom of the dryer, behind a protective cover.<\/p>\n
4. Remove the screws that secure the protective cover in place and remove the cover.<\/p>\n
5. Disconnect the wiring harnesses and unscrew the two hex nuts holding the heating element.<\/p>\n
6. Remove the old heating element from the dryer.<\/p>\n
7. Carefully inspect the new heating element (818980P) for defects or damage.<\/p>\n
8. Place the new heating element in the same position as the old one and re-secure it with the two hex nuts.<\/p>\n
9. Reconnect the wiring harnesses.<\/p>\n
