Ready to take on the challenge of replacing your own dishwasher tub seal gasket? Here is a DIY guide to help you get the job done right!<\/p>\n
Step 1: Unplug the power source. Before beginning any repair, always unplug the power source to ensure that you are safe while working.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Remove the lower dish rack and stemware holders. Take out the dish rack, stemware holders, and anything else that is inside the washer.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Take off the access panel. Depending on the model of the dishwasher, you likely need to unscrew one or several screws that are holding the access panel in place.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Locate the tub seal gasket. Find the tub seal gasket, which is located at the bottom of the dishwasher and around the inner perimeter of the tub.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Pull off the old gasket. Carefully remove the old gasket. If it is too difficult to pull off, you can use a flat-head screwdriver to help pry it off. Be sure to be careful not to damage the surface of the dishwasher tub.<\/p>\n
Step 6: Clean off the area. Make sure to wipe away any debris or leftover adhesive.<\/p>\n
Step 7: Apply adhesive. Put a thin layer of adhesive around the perimeter of the tub where the seal gasket will be placed.<\/p>\n
Step 8: Place the new tub seal gasket. Put the tub seal gasket in place, ensuring that it is properly lined up with the edges of the tub.<\/p>\n
Step 9: Secure with clips or clips. Put clips or clamps around the perimeter of the tub seal gasket in order to secure it in place. Step 10: Reassemble and test.
