This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of GE, and Hotpoint models. Replacing the WE01X29719 Door Hinge <\/p>\n

DIY Instructions <\/p>\n

1. Start by preparing to work on the door hinge. Make sure you are wearing protective eye wear and gloves to protect yourself from any dust or debris that may arise. Also be sure to unplug the appliance before beginning the repair. <\/p>\n

2. With a Philips head screwdriver, begin to unscrew the screws that hold the old hinge in place. Keep track of the screws and remove them carefully. <\/p>\n

3. Once the screws are removed, carefully pull the old hinge away from the door. It is important to move the hinge slowly and in a controlled manner. <\/p>\n

4. Take the new WE01X29719 hinge and align it with the holes in the door. Secure the hinge with the screws. Once all the screws are tightened, double check to make sure the screws are tight. <\/p>\n

5. Plug the appliance back in and make sure that the door opens and closes properly. If the door does not open or close properly, adjust the tension on the new hinge accordingly. <\/p>\n
