How to Replace a GE Dryer Timer (WE04X24551):<\/p>\n<p> 1. Unplug your GE dryer from the wall outlet.<\/p>\n<p> 2. Remove the screws from the back of the dryer and take off the back panel.<\/p>\n<p> 3. Disconnect the wires from the timer, noting where each wire is located so you can easily reconnect them in the same order.<\/p>\n<p> 4. Use a screwdriver to remove the timer knob, then remove the retaining screws holding the timer in place.<\/p>\n<p> 5. Pull out the old timer and discard it.<\/p>\n<p> 6. Insert the new timer and use the retaining screws to secure it in place.<\/p>\n<p> 7. Connect the wires to their corresponding terminals on the timer, making sure they are firmly attached.<\/p>\n<p> 8. Affix the timer knob and replace the back panel. Secure the panel into place with the screws.<\/p>\n<p> 9. Plug your dryer back into the wall outlet and turn it on.<\/p>\n<p> 10.
