6″ Top Burner Unit \u25cf 4-Turn \u25cf Black Medalian \u25cf 1500 Watts\u25cf “Y” BracketDimensions: \u25cf Length: 8.25″ \u25cf Width: 6.00″ \u25cf Height: 2.00″ Step 1: Unplug the appliance and shut off the power to the cooktop.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Remove the screws that hold the surface cooktop in place. Carefully lift off the surface cooktop and set aside.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Disconnect the wiring from the Chromalox MP15YA Whirlpool 6″ Surface Element by unplugging the two terminals on the back of the element.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Remove the screws that hold the element in place and carefully lift it out.<\/p>\n

Step 5: Insert your new element into the hole, making sure to align the two holes for the wires.<\/p>\n

Step 6: Secure the element with the two screws that were removed in Step 4.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Reassemble the wiring by connecting the two terminals on the back of the element.<\/p>\n

Step 8: Place the surface cooktop onto the range and secure it with the screws that were removed in Step 2.<\/p>\n

Step 9: Plug the appliance in and turn the power back on.<\/p>\n

Step 10: Test your new element by setting it to high heat and ensuring it properly heats up.<\/p>\n
