Replacing the Whirlpool 2306996 GASKET-FIP<\/p>\n<p> 1. Disconnect the power to the appliance: turn off the power switch or unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet.<\/p>\n<p> 2. Turn off the gas valve, typically located near the bottom of the appliance.<\/p>\n<p> 3. Open up the appliance and locate the Gasket-FIP.<\/p>\n<p> 4. Remove any screws holding the gasket in place and carefully remove the old gasket.<\/p>\n<p> 5. Make sure the mounting surface is clean and dry before applying a thin coat of plumbers\u2019 putty if desired.<\/p>\n<p> 6.
