1. Unplug the dryer’s power cord from the wall outlet or turn off the circuit breaker before beginning any maintenance.<\/p>\n
2. Remove the screws that hold the rear panel in place. Pull the panel away to access the bearing plate.<\/p>\n
3. Unplug the motor wiring harness from the control assembly and remove the screws holding the bearing plate.<\/p>\n
4. Remove the defective bearing plate and replace it with a new WE25M40 GE Rear Bearing Kit.<\/p>\n
5. Align the holes in the bearing plate with the support bracket and reinstall the screws.<\/p>\n
6. Plug the motor wiring harness back into the control assembly.<\/p>\n
7. Replace the rear panel and secure it with the screws.<\/p>\n
8. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet or turn the circuit breaker on.<\/p>\n
