BUCKET AUGER Step 1: Unplug the Power and Shut Off the Water Supply<\/p>\n
To begin, unplug the power to the refrigerator and shut off the water supply to the ice dispenser. The water supply can be found on the back wall of the refrigerator.<\/p>\n
Step 2: Remove the Ice Bucket and Auger Motor Cover<\/p>\n
Remove the ice bucket from within the freezer and the auger motor cover from the outside of the refrigerator. To remove the ice bucket, pull it straight out and lift it up. To remove the motor cover, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws which hold it in place on the side panel.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Disconnect Wires and Electric Connectors<\/p>\n
Next, disconnect the wires and electrical connectors from the old motor. There may be up to four electrical connectors that need to be disconnected.<\/p>\n
Step 4: Install New Auger Motor<\/p>\n
Install the new auger motor onto the side panel. Use a screwdriver to secure the motor in place with the provided screws.<\/p>\n
Step 5: Reconnect Wires and Electric Connectors<\/p>\n
Reconnect the electrical connectors and wires to the new motor the same way they were connected to the old one.<\/p>\n
Step 6: Reinstall Ice Bucket and Auger Motor Cover<\/p>\n
Reinstall the ice bucket into the freezer and the auger motor cover onto the side panel.<\/p>\n
Step 7: Restore Power and Water Supply<\/p>\n
