1. Unplug your range hood from the power source before replacing any parts.<\/p>\n
2. Locate the filter by removing the fan grille and examining the right side of the motor housing. <\/p>\n
3. Carefully remove the old filter by first grasping the sides of the filter and then lifting it out of the filter compartment to avoid damaging the filter or range hood.<\/p>\n
4. Once the old filter is removed, use a damp cloth and lightly dampen it to clean the filter compartment. <\/p>\n
5. Take the new Whirlpool 6802A grease filter and insert it into the filter compartment, being careful to align the filter tabs with the slots in the compartment.<\/p>\n
6. Securely press down on the top of the filter to make sure it\u2019s in place. <\/p>\n
7. Reinstall the fan grille and plug the range hood back in. <\/p>\n
