1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall and turn off the water supply if connected.

2. Lay a towel or blanket on the ground and carefully lay the refrigerator door on it.

3. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws from the side of the refrigerator door that secure the door seal gasket.

4. Carefully pull the old gasket off of the edge of the refrigerator.

5. Remove any residue left from the old gasket with a cloth and some soapy water.

6. Measure the door from top to bottom, and side to side, so you can get the proper size door seal for your refrigerator.

7. Take the measurements to your local appliance store and purchase a replacement door seal with the model number 4987JJ2002Q.

8. When you get home, line the edges of the new seal with the grooves in the door and push it into the grooves until it is secure and flush with the door.

9. Replace the screws that were removed earlier.

10. Properly plug the refrigerator back into the wall and turn on the water supply if applicable.
